Set Password and Go
There are times when you don't need to password protect a whole computer, but would like certain apps on that computer to be for your eyes only. As this is rarely an option that the average app provides, AppLocker is an elegant solution to this problem. There is very little setup required. Indeed, you simply set your password and then select those apps you wish to password protect. You will then be free to let others use your machine without fear of them looking at apps you don't want them looking at... but make sure you choose a strong password that can't be guessed. And by the same token, don't forget your password and lock yourself out of your sensitive apps!
Am Okay Solution
For what it aims to do, AppLocker does well. Unfortunately there are inherent problems with this method. For one, a single password is a single point of failure, either you forgetting your password or someone correctly guessing it. Secondly, some users have reported things not working properly because of password restrictions keeping other systems locked out.
